The Man...The Legend...BLITHWULF!

This week we welcome a new artist with a very familiar name into the AchillesHeelArt fold. Any tickle fan who remembers the early days of the internet will recall "Blithwulf's House of Tickling". It was one of the very first sites devoted to the subject, and I have fond memories of discovering it. I actually stumbled upon his site in my city's main public library while doing a keyword search for "tickling", and this was long before the days of Google.

Blithwulf has decided to come aboard our art team, as he has been experimenting with computer painting programs and 3D figure modeling. His first piece is a knockout, so I can't wait to see what he has in store for us in the future. In "Locker Room Laughter", one barefoot muscular hunk is put through the paces by the rest of his team as he sits helpless in stocks. Let me know what you think of this great new addition to our library! Also this week, I begin my New Years resolution of getting to every request that's been sitting in my queue. A long time ago, a member requested seeing one of his favorite British actors getting tickled while filming a movie. This guy is tough, hairy and built like a bulldog, and his thick bare feet get tickled crazy in "Hoskinsfeathered".

That's it for 2009! I hope to see lots of new members to our site in 2010 and beyond!

A Right Jolly Old Elf

Merry Christmas everybody!

This holiday update has a special gift for all tickling fans: A twinky elf and a big bear of a Santa Claus.

First up, Sloth shows us the consequences that a lazy elf who isn't fulfilling his toy quota must face: foot tickling! He begs for it to end, but his fellow elves and Santa are just having too much fun! That elf "Better Watch Out"Next, I send everyone who loves bears a great big Christmas card. Santa just loves to laugh, and gets in some practice as his elf helpers explore his hairy body with sprigs of pine, candy canes and feathers! I know you'll enjoy "He Shook When He Laughed", and you'll laugh when you see it, in spite of yourself!

Happy and safe Holidays to All, and to All some great tickling!

The King of All Cosmos

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone get the feeling Wez is obsessed with videogames? This time, he visits the quirky world of a popular and bizarre Japanese game. The King of All Cosmos has forgotten how to laugh, and it's up to the Prince to help him remember, using a special sticky ball covered with feathers. He won't stop until "We Laugh Katamari".Next, the exciting story of Major Power and Private Thawtz races towards its thrilling conclusion. The heroes find themselves at a crossroads as they are freed by Captain Awesome, and they give the evil Dr. Zyborg a taste of his own ticklish medicine. What's on the horizon for Powers and Thawtz? Only Mr. Zikkon knows for sure...

See you next week for our Christmas update!

Love Me Some JHuck

This guy posts pics of his feet online all the time, and I'm a huge fan. He's got amazing feet, but what I think I like best about him is the attitude in his broodingly handsome face.

Killer Smile-Eddie Cibrian

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not exactly into pretty boys. But damn, my heart speeds up a little when Eddie Cibrian smiles. He's got the kind of grin that lights up a room, and dimples to die for. From what I can see in a few pictures I found online, he's got a decent set of paws on him, too.

Winter is Here!

Thanks to everyone for being patient with us, as I adjust to the sudden turn my life and career has taken (see last posting). Here's the information on the last two updates posted to AchillesHeelArt!

First up, Sloth gives us "The Tomb Raiders", two hunky explorers who stumble upon a mysterious feathered amulet. Little did they realize, taking it would unleash a horde of tickling goblins. That's one evil curse... Next, Velly-Z has Jay STILL at the mercy of the tickling pirates who want to know "Where's the Gold 2"? He's not talking yet, even though they're still tickling his feet.
This week, I brought in Winter 2009 with a brand new home page image. Rather than drawing Santa this time, I decided to go with another holiday tradition. There's nothing like sitting around the dinner table for a scrumptious meal with family and friends. Looks like these guys are more interested in tenderizing this meat in "Feast of Laughter". Grab a turkey feather and join in! Just save me a drumstick... Next, a mystic Yogi trains his apprentice in the art of separating mind from matter. The flexible young man is tasked with holding a difficult balanced yoga pose while magical feathers dance all around his body in "The Yogi's Training".
Hope you enjoy this week's pieces!

An Apology and An Explanation

Hello all,

I received a bit of bad news today. Many of you probably realize that creating tickling artwork has not been my full-time job. I've working in the arts in another capacity for a company for the past 11 years. It was my first real job in my field after graduating from college. When I started there, it was a privately owned company of about 75 people. While it was a corporation, it never quite felt corporate. There was a genuine feeling of working with a family.

Almost two years ago, the company was bought out by a larger corporation, and the original owners and managers were eventually fired. We went from working in a charming, historic townhouse to moving locations into beige, soulless cubicles. In the past 4 quarters, the company has gone through 3 rounds of layoffs. 14 people were let go today, including me. While I expected that our bad financial year would mean more firings, I honestly believed my knowledge and experience made me too valuable to lose. I was wrong.

This economy is affecting everyone, so I know many of you are probably in the same situation or know someone who has lost their job. I would only ask that members of AchillesHeelArt be patient with us over the next few weeks as I get my bearings again. I was completely blindsided by this development.

The good news is, if you're a fan of the work in my gallery, you can expect to see a lot more of it in the coming months. I suddenly have a lot more time on my hands to produce some good stuff.

Thanks for everyone's patience and understanding in advance,

Yours,

Achilles
